The Tourist Cubism Reflection
1. Series of steps:
1. The photographer probably started the piece by going out into this street and taking many photographs. They took photos of many different angles, lighting, clarity, and distance.
2. Then, after going to the computer, opening photoshop, and creating a blank document, they inserted one of their photos into the document.
3. Next, they repeatedly took parts of the photo and put them into their own layers to warp them, color them, add effects to them, and manipulate them into different perspectives.
4. Also, they imported other photos they took into the image to add different types of coloring, perspective, and size.
5. Then, they moved all the pieces around to fit them into one big, impressive picture that looks distorted, but adds perspective and 3-D aspects.
6. Lastly, they added finishing touches and fixed mistakes, resulting in a completed, original, and unique project.
2. I believe that there were about 10 photos used in this project, but many more taken beforehand. This is because while it looks like there are many different pictures in one, I feel that many of the pieces were taken from the same original 10 photos and then just cut, copied, edited, and pasted.
3. I feel that there's a chance that the photographer may have taken some of the photos at night. But, I believe that's it's more likely that all the photos were taken during the day and then just edited to look darker with certain effects.
4. Some obvious post-processing enhancements are some of the lighting levels changing and the distortion of some of the pieces of the picture.
5. I feel that this work was very well done and the way it is organized created an interesting and unique viewpoint for the viewer.
